Rick Smith's
Pointing Dog Training Foundation Seminar

Fri., Sat. & Sun., June 10-12, 2011
Whitehall, MT            Enrollment Form

Directions to Site:
Friday: Registration and Introduction - Meet at the Biology room of Whitehall High School.  From the Whitehall exit off of I-90 turn south into Town.  Go about 2 blocks, you will see a Whitehall Schools sign on your right.  Turn left into the school parking lot (watch the large speed bumps).  Angle left around to the north side of the flat roofed High School building (the parking lot turns to gravel here).  There is a white and green "Zero Spread" anti noxious weed sign above the door to the biology room.

If you are self contained, we have permission to camp in this parking lot and under some trees on the edge of the foot ball field.  No RV hook ups or electricity available.

Saturday: We will meet at the biology room at 7 AM and drive out together.  However, if you miss this or prefer to drive out by yourself here are directions from I-90: Take the Whitehall exit and turn south into Town.  You will be on Whitehall Street.  Go about 5 blocks and you will hit a "T" (at a Conoco Station).  Turn right on Legion and go 6-7 blocks.  Turn (angle) left (south) onto HW 55 (at the Chinese Garden restruant).  The site is about 7.5 miles south of Town.  Just past mile post 4 you will cross Fish Creek.  The turn is the 2nd drive way on the left, past the creek.  Turn left at the "Perfect Circle Horses" round shaped, black and white sign.  If you hit the turn off to Waterloo you are too far.
Proceed down the somewhat bumpy gravel drive way.  You will note an old metal barn and a yellow home.  Drive to the parking area at the barn (do not park at the home, please) and park.  You have arrived. :-)

If you have any questions or want me to help you get settled in at the school parking lot, please call 406-498-5236, Todd Breitenfeldt :^)

If you're looking for a better relationship with your dog, both at home and in the field, you've come to the right place. From puppyhood through the basics of being a bird dog, all the basic skills you and your dog will need can be found here. You will be trained to train your dog, with Rick’s guidance. You’ll work with the Command Lead, check cord, and whoa post, as well as the chain, and your dog will have numerous opportunities to work birds. These seminars are very popular and fill rapidly, so please call the host to reserve your spot.
